Spending a year living in Lisbon, I learned the word ‘saudade’ - a Portugese and Brazilian word, meaning a nostaglic longing to be near something or someone once loved. ‘Saudade’ gave language to the  emotional state I regularly experience, expressing my enduring love for the places I have visited and the memories I carry with me. This word has deeply inspired and shaped my work, allowing me to convey that feeling through my photography and storytelling.

I am a first-class International Business graduate from the University of Edinburgh, where I specialised in marketing and sustainability. However, I believe much of my education has come through travelling, allowing me to continuously grow creatively by documenting the world through my own eyes.

For me, photography is a way of capturing how I feel in a specific moment, and my writing that accompanies it helps to tell a story. Whilst I appreciate visually appealing images, it’s more than that; it’s about encapsulating a feeling, a mood, or a memory that holds lasting nostalgia and emotion. I’m drawn to the sun and love capturing natural light and moments that feel real.

Growing up, my parents loved travelling, and have always encouraged me to see the world with my own eyes. I am lucky enough to have had the chance to experience many different cultures, and my curiosity has always drawn me to new and different places. I am often captivated by unique and authentic stays, that allow travellers to immerse themselves in the culture and truly learn something meaningful from the experience. 

With my love for travel, and a belief in the importance of learning about different cultures and seeing the world, I share my recommendations, guides and my curated, never-ending, travel wishlist of stays and places I hope to visit.
